Making a Tote Bag the Easy Way

Here is a fun project that you can do in an afternoon. This large tote bag was made using our Lori Holt cheater fabric. Also, here is the free pattern I used from Sherri McConnell - Easy Charm Pack Tote Tutorial - A Quilting Life

I did not use a charm pack, but the cheater fabric that made the project so much quicker. I also used quilting batting rather than what is suggested in the pattern as it works equally as well. I usually have lots of smaller pieces of batting and using it in a bag is a great way to use it up. I just love the look of this bag as it is so bright and summery and very sturdy to carry heavy loads.

Give this bag a try as it is very beginner friendly. Make a few and give one as a gift to a friend.

Don’t forget to get your free drawstring bag pdf pattern that resides on our mini bundles page.
