Sarnia Quilt Post Show

After a very busy weekend at the Sarnia Quilter’s Guild Quilt Show, we at Drunkard’s Path would like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth. We are just overwhelmed with your kindness and words of encouragement. We truly appreciate your comments, and we will continue to evolve as we strive to produce the best customer service to all.

Now, on to week 1 of the Fat Quarter Shop Haunted Halloween quilt along. Here is the link for the first part of the sew along if you have not already found it:

Haunted Halloween Mystery Quilt Along Week One

I got up early to get started and these couple of blocks were a bit tricky and I hope they put the hardest ones first! My advice to you is to take your time since you will be working with some small pieces. Remember, pinning could really help you out as well as fully understanding the instructions. I think it took me 45 minutes to cut the pieces but thankfully I had my Alphabitties to mark my pieces so I did not get them mixed up.

Please post your progress on Drunkard’s Path Facebook or Instagram as we would love to your progress. Also, if you don’t have a kit join along and pull from your stash. We would love to see many different variations of this sew along.

I want to point out that I did goof up. If you look closely at the photo on the top row with the two star blocks you may see it is a bit discoloured. Oh my, what happened here! Yes, I left the iron on the block and walked away, yikes! No disasters but I decided to keep it like that. Since it is a Halloween quilt it just might add an interesting look. I’m going with that story 😉

Until next time, keep sewing – keep stitching!
