Haunted Halloween Mystery Quilt Along Week Two
I got an early start and downloaded the FREE pattern from the Fat Quarter Shop and cut out my fabric. This week was a little easier with this really cute kitty cat block. Use pins on this one as you need to line up those seams.
This block was fun to do and I can see the quilt taking shape. I can’t wait to see what is in store for next week! Click here to jump in on the fun and get your kit from our shop.
Now to work on the second part of the cross stitch to have it ready for next week. Again, a free pattern. Download here:

Ok, let’s talk summer sewing. We have a new book in our shop by Susan Ache called Summer Memories. This book just says it all when it comes to summer. I live on a border town with the United States and I love all the Americana quilts I see. You can substitute the blue with just red and white for our own Canada Day celebrations - especially with the Red and White sale we have going on right now for Canada Day - with all the really lovely quilt patterns in this book. Also, what is really great is there are 10 cross stitch charts included. They are smalls and they make just lovely pillows or frame them to display in your summer décor. I wish I had more hours in the day to make just everything in this book!
Whatever you decide to do for your summer projects, share them on our social media platforms so we all can get inspired.
Until next time, keep sewing, keep stitching!
