We are back from the Houston Quilt Festival and what a time we had. The show far exceeded our expectations. It was such a surreal experience seeing the quilt Pat More, several ladies from the Sarnia Quilter’s Guild and myself entered in to the show. As Pat so eloquently put it – it was the pinnacle of our quilting life. Where do we go from here, haha!
From seeing all the incredible works of quilting art, to meeting Jen Kingwell and all I experienced in between, will forever be engrained into my most memorable events. I can truly appreciate the monumental amount of work that went into putting that quilt show together. There were over 1000 quilts displayed as well as 600 vendors. The people there could not have been kinder. I’m sure I visited most of those vendors.
One vendor in particular caught my eye and I just fell in love with their fabrics and patterns. They are called Quilt my Design Quilting and patchwork - Online club and shop - Quilt My Design out of Denmark. They had very unique fabrics and patterns. Linnette Jakobsen was so nice to speak to and if there is enough interest, I would love to carry her fabrics in our shop. So, have a look at their site and let us know by emailing us at support@drunkardspath.com if you would like Drunkard’s Path to carry this line.
